Today is the third day of the Chinese New Year.
According to tradition, today is still the middle of the year. Visiting relatives and friends, eating and drinking, and gathering should continue.
But there is one thing to keep in mind: tomorrow, the Hong Kong Dental Council will officially start work.
February 20th, the first working day after the holiday. Students who want to go to Hong Kong to personally submit their materials can start now.
98 days, not a lot, but enough
First, calculate an account. Today is February 19th, with 98 days left until the Part 1 written test on May 28th.
In these 98 days, with Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival), Tomb Sweeping Day and May Day, the time to really calm down and read may be less than 80 days.
80 days, to complete the eight subjects in Part 1. On average, one subject takes less than 10 days.
It’s not about creating anxiety, it’s about making you aware.
What does going to work tomorrow mean?
The pace of work of the Hong Kong Dental Council is quite different from that in mainland China.
They don’t urge you, nor do they remind you. Once all the materials are ready, we will proceed with the acceptance; If something is missing, it will be returned for you to make up for it; If it exceeds the deadline, it will not be charged.
After starting work tomorrow, for every extra day you delay, you will have one less day to deal with unexpected situations.
Send the materials over, and if there are any issues that need to be addressed, explained, or notarized again – this will take one week to complete.
Tomorrow at work is the best start time.
The Spring Festival is not over yet, but you can do these three things first
If you are still visiting relatives, drinking, or using your phone today, it’s normal. During the Chinese New Year.
But if you can spare half an hour and complete these three tasks, you will thank yourself after the New Year:
Firstly, check the material list once.
ID card, transcript, graduation certificate, practice certificate, good reputation certificate, notarized documents – check each item on the official website. What is missing? I will do it immediately tomorrow.
Secondly, confirm the validity period of the certificate of good reputation.
This certificate is only valid for 3 months. If you drive early, check if it’s about to expire. Expired, hurry up and reapply.
Thirdly, review the Part 1 exam syllabus.
No need to memorize, just flip it over. List out eight subjects, each subject roughly divided into several chapters, what to talk about, and which part of yourself is the least confident – just have a chart in mind.
Three things, totaling less than half an hour. After finishing the Chinese New Year, I don’t feel anxious.
How do you want to leave the exam room after 98 days?
This question can be considered in advance.
98 days later, on May 28th. You walk out of the exam room.
What expression would you have?
I breathed a sigh of relief and thought, ‘I have reviewed everything that needs to be reviewed, and I can pass it.’; Or is it a feeling of confusion in my heart, ‘I’m not really sure about that question. If I had known, I would have flipped through the book again’?
This picture can be decided now.
It’s not about making you suffer and hate reading now, but about not wasting every minute you can use in these 98 days.
During the Chinese New Year, we should eat and drink, but don’t let go of the string in our hearts for too long.
