Familiarizing with the Environment in Advance: Candidates who have never interacted with Hong Kong-style phantom heads and dental chairs must understand equipment adjustments beforehand. In the exam, adjusting the phantom head to a position that ensures patient safety and closely mimics a real clinical setting is itself part of the assessment.
The “Tactile Feel” of Exam Model Teeth: The texture of the simulated teeth used in the exam differs significantly from the hard model teeth used in daily practice.
Preparation Strategy for Hand Instruments and Burs: Although the test center provides standard high-speed/low-speed handpieces and basic instruments, certain specialized hand instruments for refining may not be included in the tray.
