The first Hong Kong dental licensing examination (HKDLE) in 2026 was completed on May 29. With the end of the examination, more and more mainland dentists began to pay attention to the development direction of practicing in Hong Kong.
In order to help more colleagues who plan to apply for the examination understand the real situation of the examination room and the test preparation path, we invited a student of Chenghei education Part1 general course. As the first candidate to take the dental licensing examination in Hong Kong, she shared her personal experience and suggestions around the current situation of the examination room, the difficulty of the subjects and the review methods.
The present situation of the examination room and the motivation of applying for the examination
Many doctors who plan to apply for the examination often worry that the competition for the Hong Kong dental examination is too fierce. However, according to the on-site feedback of the candidates, the actual reference number of the huangzhukeng examination room for the big test is only about 80, including about 40 candidates who take the examination for the first time. From the actual data, the competition in the dental licensing examination in Hong Kong is not as fierce as the outside world imagined, and it is still a very suitable window for mainland dentists seeking professional breakthrough.
When talking about why they chose to take the exam, the interviewees said that obtaining the Hong Kong dental license is an effective way to broaden the professional track and contact the international medical environment.

Review suggestions and post exam experience
The Hong Kong dental licensing examination not only examines theoretical knowledge, but also focuses on clinical comprehensive thinking. For in-service doctors who have graduated for many years and worked for a long time, how to effectively sort out the neglected theoretical knowledge in a limited time is the core difficulty in the preparation process.
The interviewees shared her experience in detail in the next interview. She said that for doctors who have worked for a long time, the systematic courses and high-frequency question bank of Chenghei education provided very strong support in sorting out the core knowledge points and helped her quickly clarify the context of the examination.
At the same time, combined with the actual experience of this reference, she gave hard core suggestions for candidates who plan to participate in the next exam: in the process of preparing for the exam, in addition to theoretical review, we can combine more with daily clinical practice to improve clinical comprehensive thinking, which is of great help to the exam.
